Coach Matthew "Chew" Sellars – Elite Trainer & Champion-Minded Coach
With a lifelong dedication to athletics, Coach Matthew "Chew" Sellars brings an impressive resume of playing and coaching experience to the court. A standout multi-sport athlete in high school, he competed in track, soccer, golf, basketball, and baseball, earning All-State honors his junior and senior years and being named Most Important Player as a freshman and sophomore.
From 2002 to 2006, he played college basketball at Pensacola Christian College, where he made a significant impact on the court. In 2006, he expanded his collegiate athletic career by competing in intercollegiate soccer and volleyball at PCC. After college, he served as the Sports Coordinator for NACA from 2007 to 2008 before launching a highly successful coaching career.
Since 2008, Coach Sellars has developed and trained athletes who have gone on to earn scholarships at the JUCO, NCCAA, NAIA, and NCAA levels, with 13 of his former players advancing to professional sports. His high school basketball teams have achieved remarkable success, including 10 regional championships, two state final appearances, two state final four runs, and an impressive 10 state championships. Under his leadership, teams have also claimed four national titles.
With a passion for athlete development and a commitment to excellence, Coach Sellars continues to inspire and prepare players for the next level, both on and off the court.
